Lokar performance products product development

My name is John Impy. I am the Product Development Manager here at Lokar.
We are currently working on a line of new products for 67-73 C-10 trucks.
We are in need of a section of a factory firewall from a 1971-1972 C-10 truck.
The section that I am looking for is in the throttle pedal area. If anyone can help with this Please contact me at. Lokar (865) 966-2269 or johni@lokar.com We are located in Knoxville Tn and will arrange shipping.

Thank you
John Impy

Re: Lokar performance products product development

you must be looking for a cable set up peddle the 70 and earlier used a rod.........keep in mind that on alot of our engine swaps on the 67-70 we use the 71/72 peddle Ass. because of that cable set up..so be sure not to forget about us!!

Re: Lokar performance products product development

As for the 67-70 year model trucks those are not a problem. There is no hole in the firewall for a cable so you can drill your own hole to match up to our pedal ass'y.

Thank you
John Impy

Re: Lokar performance products product development

I wish Locar would make a pedal assy for a 63-66 with the LS cable in mind. I have one of your cable assy and pedal but it doesnt fit like I would like it. THe floor is alot different in the 63-66.

Re: Lokar performance products product development

Thanks for all the help (and support) HavinSomeFun has stepped up to the plate and has got us taken care of. Thank you for that. I have used message boards before and have never had to pay to buy anything. Maybe if I were to sell something I could understand needing to be a paid member. With all that aside Thank you very much and we look foward to getting this project completed for SEMA this year.

I was the development coordinator at Magnaflow exhaust for years.
We borrowed a car/truck paid for a rental and gave out a free exhaust when the system was complete. I imagine Lokar will do close to the same deal:);)

I have used a bunch of your product, and have never been disappointed! I used a pedal assy in my 67 Chevelle, that was supposed to be for a Camaro. A little iminagination, and it worked perfect! You guys are my first thought when doing a pedal, shifter, cable change

1) i want to say that i think Lokar makes some very good stuff---please keep it up and please don't ever cheap out like a lot of companies are doing these days.

Re: Lokar performance products product development

Guys and Gals, it's all good. I think the situation is all taken care of and hopefully we will have more available parts for our trucks soon. As it seems so many of us are going with the LS based options and looking for solutions to our older setups, I for one will take all the help I can get.

If it helps at all, I will purchase the $25 membership for them.

Re: Lokar performance products product development

when I first read this post, all of a sudden I got really excited! Knowing Lokar was doing R&D for our trucks is awesome news. Then I got really mad, because I just ordered their throttle cable, a 71-72 pedal assembly and LFD's throttle bracket. I should have waited to see what Lokar comes up with! LFD's stuff is great and I will have the satisfaction of knowing I pieced it together myself and it will look awesome none the less.........anyway welcome to the board, your comments and dedication to R&D for our trucks is GREATLY appreciated!!!

Ok. This thread has been removed of all of its off topic conversation. Lets not confuse Registered Users with Premium Members . Registered Users are welcomed and appreciated here. So are Premium members. Premium members rightfully get perks not limited to, but include "Want to buy" posting abilities. The OP did not ask to buy in his original post. Later he did comment that he was unaware that he needed to be a member to "buy" from this website. Judgement call? Yes. Was he targeted? No. With that said lets continue to welcome him by being respectful to his targeted topic. Any further off topic replies will be removed and appropriate actions will be taken.
