New Drivetrain

I have a 70 c20, it has a th350 and eaton rearend. Was think of going to the th400 but don't know what rearend to go to. It's going to be a daily driver and would like some advice on what would be the best route to go.....

welcome to the board

both the 350 and 400 have the same top gear 1:1 you might think about something with and over drive..not sure what gears you have but it would drive the same unless you opt for the OD

Re: New Drivetrain

The tallest gear for the H052 rear is 4.10 and that's probably what you have now. For anything taller you will need a Dana 60 or a 14 bolt. The only problem is that these rears came only with leaf springs, so if you have coils you will need to weld on the brackets for the trailing arms and panhard bar.

Sorry, I lied to you. They aren't very common, but there are a few coil spring D60s out there if you are patient enough to look for one.
