drop spindle question
i finally got my drop spindles for my C20 the other day and it looks like on one of the spindles the hub didnt get pressed in all the way.Is it supposed to be flush with the back of the spindle casting ?

Re: drop spindle question
I had the same thing on one of my spindles. I thought it was normal, but it would be interesting to know if this is why one side is sticking out a little further than the other side within the fender well.
Inquiring minds want to know... |
Re: drop spindle question
I would say this is definitely a problem did you contact the manufacturer? What brand are they? Do you both have the same brand?

Re: drop spindle question
I'd call back and ask for a supervisor, and advise him that word of mouth is the best advertisement you can get. And that you have explained your problem on a truck forum with thousands of members reading it daily. And see if that won't encourage him to take them back and replace them. Wouldn't hurt.

Re: drop spindle question

Re: drop spindle question
they said that i just needed to finish the machining on them i told em i would need some sort of fixture im not just gonna start grinding on em i would never be able to maintain the correct dimensions that just went in one ear and out the other its just two young guys running the place i thought about emailing all the pics i have directly to aim industries maybe someone there would be interested but who knows

Re: drop spindle question
they said that the manufacturer which is aim told em they are safe so thats why they wont take em back so its just a he said she said kinda deal

Re: drop spindle question
Good news!!!I emailed AIM and sent all the pictures i took of the spindles and explained the situation i got a prompt response with a return authorization code and they are gonna send me some new ones immediately the guy seemed pretty pissed that these got out the door so hopefully this ordeal will be resolved soon and i will have a good set of spindles on my truck soon!!
