68 C10 Neutral Safety Switch connection

2 Attachment(s)
I'm in the process of rewiring my '68 Chevy C10 that has a small block and 700R4 combo. It appears to have the stock neutral safety switch at the base of the column and it has four electrical terminals. I'm using a Painless Wiring vehicle specific wiring kit, but they do not show which terminals should be used for the N/S or which one should be connected to the back up lights. Does anybody know which terminals are which? Also, what is the fourth terminal use for?

The attached photos are not the best, but perhaps they will help some.

Thanks in advance.

The two parallel blades should be for the starter circuit and the two at right angles for the reverse lights. You can confirm this with a continuity tester. In fact you should check the switch anyway before you hook it up, just in case it is defective or out of adjustment.

Ray, thanks for the info. I will verify your information as you suggested, as that would be a good idea. The info that you have provided will make that a bit easier to do though.

thanks,

Dennis
