Wish I had a camera

I went to an Olds/GMC dealer today to get my front bed panel and saw a pretty cool truck 4 sale on the lot! It was a brand new 03 GMC 2wd standard cab stepside, it was white and had black '70 'Cuda AAR type stripes running down the side, cowl hood, and had a "325" emblem on the cowl part of the hood. It also said ???325 (???=I can't remember what it actually said) on the side and had an aftermarket (i think) grill. Anyone hear of this from GM before or could it be a dealer prepped truck? I know it isn't used because it had factory window stickers in it, plastic on the seats, etc. I might try and go back tomorrow and get some pics if anyone is interested.

Probably a ChooChoo custom truck.

Now that said a lot !!!!!!!!!!!

OK, here is some new news...

I went there today with a dig camera I borrowed from work and took some pics and paid attention a little more. Tomorrow when I get to work I will DL the pics from the camera and post them.

First off...THESE ARE NOT CHOO CHOO CUSTOM TRUCKS. :)

It is an 02 model GMC (not 03 like I thought) standard cab FLEETSIDE short box 2WD. It has the cowl hood with "325 ST" on it and on the rear bed sides. The 325 in the displacement in cu in (5.3 litre engine), not sure what the "ST" stands for...maybe Sport Truck. It has 17" wheels/tires, billit grill, steel cowl hood, and custom graphics (similar to AAR Cudas). As I was taking pictures a salesman came out and asked if i had any questions. I asked him some basic questions and here is what I found out...

Jim Lupient Olds/Pontiac/GMC built 10 of these trucks. You could get them in either 2wd or the Z71 off road package (4WD). Of these 10 there were a few "325 SC" trucks built, SC meaning supercharged! It is a Whipple Supercharger on top of the 5.3 making 400 HP if I remember correctly. These trucks are fully warrantied and if you like, they can custom build them in 3-4 weeks...so if you wanted an extended cab one you can order one!

As I was talking to the guy he mentioned they had another ST in the showroom, so i went in and looked and it was a black 4by that looked aqually as cool as the white 2WD outside. The showroom model had a box cover on it as well but everything else was similar... I got pics of the black one too.

The price for the 2WD was $30,000 and I believe the 4WD might have been $35,000 or so.

I will post the pics tomorrow...I am sure you will like them.

Dave, you crack me up!

As you know I borrowed the camera from work. In order to get a camera you have to go thru this one particular ad min, and she can DL the pics from the camera when you return it. Well wouldn't you know she called in sick today so now I have to wait till tomorrow to get them off the camera.

Sorry to keep you all waiting. :(
