Hello guys

Here the problem I have to jump my truck now to get it started

The alt is good had it tested along with the battery what gives????

I hate wireing :sumo:

Start at the basics---get a good heavy duty set of battery cables. Clean ALL of the connection points for the cables (at the battery and at the starter and ground points). Check all of the other wiring connections for anything that might be loose.

BEEN THERE DONE THAT

I stated it up took off the positive cabel and it didnt die so the alt is good
I then shut it off and now it wount start :sumo: I figure it out it just started doing this I thaink it may be in the stereo and some leds that a friend hooked up but it didnt do that after he hooked them up now after 2 weeks im haveing problems I dont get it

If so, then disconnect the leads to the stereo and start from scratch.

Hi Guys

Could it be the starter solinoide? You jump it it starts fine as soon as you shut it off it woundt restart

This was the exact same issue I had, only mine was caused by a couple of things. Make sure every wire is connected nice and tight (mine had a bad post on the starter and caused the solenoid to go bad). Once I changed out the starter, that fixed that part of the problem. My next issue was my battery. I replaced that and now she starts right up. I think you can replace just the solenoid, but I just went ahead and replaced the whole starter. Mine was making a clicking sound when I would turn the key. I would say it's the solenoid on the starter...hope that helps.

take the starter to Advance Auto Parts have them test it

Buddy and Pro for the help I do think its in the solenoid the battery ect is new I will have to weit untill payday to fix it LOL
