en-gauge-ing question
Before making replies, please note that I will be building my truck using as many GM parts as possible so try to refrain from saying I should go with Dakota Digital, other aftermarket gauges or installing a later model dash. Thanks.
I am wanting to do factory gauges in my next C10 with a tach but I got to thinking about a more updated look. Can anyone steer me to someone that can make a plastic overlay? Something like a newer truck uses but can fit in place of the metal faces on our gauges. I think backlit gauges would give them the look I am going for and in theory it should be able to be done for a relatively low cost, I just need to figure out where to start. Thanks! |

Not what I'm looking for, but I appreciate the link. I hate white face gauges myself but I know someone was looking for some for his truck.

White face gauges offers them in other colors as well A bit extra but worth it in the long run. As for backlighting, THese gauges are back lit from the factory. If what you're talking about is having them illuminated THROUGH the gauges then thats gonna be something totally custom built.
I used led strips on the back side of the front gauge cover(the part just behind the lense) to get the look I wanted on my gauges. |
