guys this what i made to repair the lower hinge pocket on drivers door on the 56' panel and i suspect the passenger side is the same. decided to go with 10g since the factory 16g wasn't heavy enough. less than $10 and some time. the area that was broken on door was just under 2"x 4.5" with no rust to deal with, LUCK!:metal:

How are you going to get door adjustment with the nuts welded in one place? You need a caged nut setup to get vertical and horizontal door adjustment.

I think this for inside the door itself, they're not cage nuts in there are they?

these are for the door and they are not caged nuts, they are "weld nuts". if you were to look at the pieces they offer from the aftermarket companies these are the exact ones they are using. i researched these setups and regular nuts really don't have the material you need to make proper repair. i have attempted in the past to use regular nuts and they really make a sub-standard repair for all the effort it takes to accomplish it.

I'll be facing that same repair when I finally get that far along. Where can I get those weldnuts? My local Ace Hdw store has a good selection of fasteners but I've never looked for those.
