Thinking About Bagging My Truck... Yes Already...

Hey guys,

For the last couple of days Ive been thinking about bagging my truck, I want to go lower now, and I want bigger wheels, 22s. After seeing so many bagged trucks with 22s im not happy with my setup.. Anyways I was wondering peoples thoughts on a Complete Porterbuilt Setup it all looks like very nice stuff.

Or Maybe KP componets? RideTech? Any Others?

Im looking for a almost complete bolt on set up..

The Porterbuilt setup is very nice. My dad and I installed front and rear kits on his 85.

They are all quality kits. It would be best to figure out which is best suited for your needs and go from there. I am leaning toward the rear air bar from ride tech only because I dont want to cut my bed for a bridge. I have a set of strong arms and will be looking into the porterbuilt 1" drop member when he has one finished. I dont want to take out my front fender wells. And I'm intereseted in your 20's if the price is right lol.

Suicide Doors has a complete front and rear kit as well. I don't think the rear kit is listed on their web site yet but it is available.

Just to be a nice guy, I will gladly take the 225s on your truck to "help a brother out" if need be! If you decide to become a supporting member and sell them, LMK. Thanks

To Bag Or Not To Bag, That Is The Question!....

Its hard to decide, when I think about all the stuff I could have done for the cost of just the parts is rediculous.. Ugh, This is harder then choosing wheels.

What you need to decide is how low you want to go, and what a realistic budget is. If your just going mildly low and don't want to cut your bed or fenders, Ride Tech has the best quality kit out there. Not the cheapest, but the quality is top shelf.

Another option is look at the latest bolt on system from Porterbuilt. He realizes that not everyone wants to lay frame so he has kits in the works to accommodate those needs.

Of course you know Nate makes the Dropmember and if your looking to lay frame, that's the route of many of our members have taken. In fairness to our other supporting vendors, you shoud also look at what Scots Hotrods and Suicide Doors has to offer. All of these companies offer some very nice systems.

Ive been emailing Nate back and forth alot today, He called me I just havent called him back.

I will check out the other vendors you listed, I would want to lay frame but have been considering Ridetech.. I like the setup they have. When your truck is completely aired out how low are your frame rails from the ground?

Sooo, I saw a thread on ScottHotRods' IFS set up for the 67-72 trucks, got excited and started looking too see if they had something like that for the 73-87 trucks. And suure enough! They did! Basically, they have everything I truly wanted, Centered wheels, Narrowed track, rack and pinion steering, and lots more ground clearance with out having to buy all that other stuff. (ie Air tanks, controllers ect ect.) I think im going to do a bit more research on these guys. Its looking really promising.
