just ordered some....anyone ever use? how'd it work?

Works great. Dont paint it on a smooth surface or it will come off in sheets. Needs to be painted over a rough surface to hold. Works great with a brush too. I did my chassis with a nice brush and it levels out so well it looked powdercoated!

im doing my floorboards...so i will need to scuff em up then?

yes make sure everything is clean of rust, and chipping paint areas. I've never used this stuff, and am unsure of the curing time. I know a lot of people use it on frames.

I did the floors in my monte carlo with it, I hit the whole thing with a cupped wire brush head on a grinder, then wire brushed by hand and vacuumed it clean.

You also may want to look into their cleaner and metal ready it's supposed to etch the metal to help it stick.

i bought the little kit they sell.....its only 26 bucks and gives you the cleaner and all....enough to do 12 sqr ft.

I tried it. Didn't like it. I went with Zero Rust instead. A little more dull in color but it looks great.

I used both and have to say the por15 went alot further then zero rust. I tried to do the back frame of dad's short bed 84 and it wasn't enough for 1 full coat on everything let alone 2 coats that it calls for. I didn't get the bottom of the frame done or the rear end I don't think. I might have got the rear end and leafs but I know the bottom didn't get done, and I could only do one coat with a quart of the stuff.

the monte carlo floor I did I used the por-15 quart and got two god coats on it and done some of the front frame and under the radiator support.

on my 88 I just used a quart of rustoleum on it and got the whole rear end, and entire frame, top, bottom, sides, everything only one coat though, 2 coats on the outside of the frame rails, did the whole gas tank and leafs and under them, all over the bottom sides.

Did the whole bottom of me bed with another quart. Gonna buy me another one later and try to do my front frame, control arms and maybe the frame under the cab and floor if I have enough left.

As for holding up the por-15 looks the exact same today as it did when I put it on, that was at least 4-5 years ago. No rust at all has started or got worse, and I had a rusty floor on the driver's side with holes in it.

dad's frame which is exposed to everything has been done for about 2 years I think and I'm pretty sure it looks about the same if you clean it off. i aint been undr it in awhile but I forget what it does look like now, I don't think any new rust has started or old stuff got any worse though.

I've used tremclad rust paint before never heard of the por-15 till this site,can it go into a gun to spray or brush it do you pour it out hence the name,seems it's sold up here too

yea you brush it on but they have thinner to let you spray it too.
