Homemade soft tops?
I was just curious if there are any people on this forum who are making/ selling soft tops for their blazer/jimmys.. I am already aware that softopper is making some pretty awesome soft tops, but for a college student, $800+ is wayy to much.. It just seems that if someone was on here selling soft tops for half that they'd make a killing.. ( I'm just sayin ) if anybody knows anything let me know!!

Re: Homemade soft tops?
I was thinking I would make my own too. How much can the canvas cost? And I want to go with an aluminum frame similar to the tonneau on my 71 so I don't have to put snaps on the body. If I ever get around to doing it, I'll post pics.

Re: Homemade soft tops?
Their will be snaps in the window frame but not in the tail gate I will put a 1 inch bar across the top of the tail gate for snapes or my use velcro.

Re: Homemade soft tops?
I wanted to make mine totally snapless on the body. Mold/sew the top in an arc around the windshield frame right above the windshield to avoid snaps there and then snaps on the aluminum frame around the bed and windows.
