Well figured I would share some pics with you guys of the new project. It an 85 2wd 305/350 combo, worst problem is it needs one rocker and has been sitting for 10 years, like I said nuthin special but hey ........... Free is free!!

Guess I should update little more since I started this post and may have to make it my build thread eventually. She has a bad trans, so I am on the hunt for a decent used one on the cheap side LOL. Still on the hunt for a set of cheap rally wheels. I have a junk yard buddy and he helped me out with some parts last weekend.......Truck was missing a few parts.......

Radiator, very clean 85 grille, hood ornament, the chrome mirrors that are now on it, had broken painted ones on it so into the trash pile the old ones went. New aftermarket fender, air cleaner, p/s pump.....(was missing?????)......fromt marker lights with the chrome accent, parking lights, headlight bezels, brand new rocker for the left side, window regulator, window crank was stripped(He basically gave me a complete door and said take what ya need out of it), hood ornament, rear tail lights with chrome, steering wheel(89 style), rear slider, rear cab trim and inside door panel.

still waiting to get from this guy in the next few weeks are front and rear bumpers, rear is going sport like suburban/blazer style, 4 headlight rad support, wheel molding trim, tail gate panel, and some misc trim, so its going to be a busy winter for me.

Sorry this is such a long post but my Girlfriend is ready to kill me because I talk about this truck so much so at least on here I can talk about it without catching grief LOL

why can I never find a free truck? I'd take one like that 81-87 front end and long bed, then I'd make it 73-80 and short bed lol.

For free ...... ya can never look a gift horse in the face. With the only real bad spot being the rocker(?) - you should sleep well.

I got lucky on this one my brother bought it 9/11/01 for the bed, he is very very very slowly building a 79........so this truck came home that day and got parked, and basically cannibalized for some parts for other things through the years. So basically I had to throw a radiator and a battery in her, and I just turned the key to see if she would even turn over with the battery i had, and damn if she didnt fire right up, no real smoke, no real noise, so I cant complain one bit about this truck at all!
