NEED help swaping out front ends on 69 c10
 

Hey so I just bought a running 1969 C-10 with tons of parts for $1500! WOOT! WOOT! :metal: needless to say im excited. so I pretty much have two of everything: Cabs, hoods, rear end, front end, 3 dash cluster, bench seats, fenders, and tons more. but i wanted to swap out the front ends because the other one has power steering also was going to swap for disc brakes...

so anyone want to help walk me through some of this or show me post

Im a pre-med student doing this for his wife so i dont have all the time or money in the world. but im pretty handy and determined.

I think all you need to do is swap out the spindles for the disc brake setup. Then you'll need the prop. valve from the disc brake setup. Then just change the steering boxes out and add a power steering pump.

the bench is in great condition its grey i want a black one.

and nice to see some close by! have you ever swapped for disc brakes or rear ends?

no i havent but im only fifteen so thats my alabie lol. i heard the old caprice's have a setup the swaps right in, but im not totally sure on that. i have a bench seat that is pretty torn up(no cover over the drivers side foam), that i could give plus however much you want for the seat u got. that way you have somethin to it on:lol:

...i dont know maybe...im thinking of just putting a black cover on because its perfect minus a little oil stain under the drivers butt..... but if i change my mind i will let you know

right now just a inline 6 i think its the 250 but not for sure and a 4 speed manual tranny.

cant decide if i want a 350 or 327 in but i know i want a 5 speed manual sometime lol and i might need the power steering pump i need to check the parts more and see what i need on that front end.

do you want one with the trim strip the says chevrolet or the full maetal one with the big chevroleet ?
