FREE...1970 GMC C20 parts truck; NO title
 

Need to clear out some distractions!


This is a parts truck that I bought...and now passing on.

NO title. Cab is rusted out.

Good parts, on the top of my head:

LWB...sides salvageable. Bed complete with some rust/holes...may be good for patches.
Tailgate...not great..not that bad
Dual side/saddle gas tanks with shutoff valve
Dana 60....rear HD open diff 4:11
SM465
front clip...fenders rusted but hood in good condition.
Radiator support...original GMC with grill and support. grill is rusted
Doors...ok
Glass...good condition with rear slider window
Bench seat
Front sway bar
lots of little stuff...

In reality, this is a fairly complete truck with a blown engine and rusted cab.
I will probably pick a couple of small parts off it in the next couple weeks.

I will take names of people who want this...and will go down the list until the truck is gone. I will be ready to let this go in a couple/few weeks.

Did I mention it is free?

I will not pick off parts for others...I don't have the motivation or time.

Truck is in Atascadero, CA on Hwy 41.

Lookin for a dana 60 rear for a 72 3/4 4x4. Is yours leaf mounted and are the shock mounts forward or aft? Can you ship to MT up north if it's what I need?

Shock mounts are forward on a 70. GMC is a leaf sprung rear axle. Axle pad spacing is wider than your 72.

...Having said that, I'm not parting this out. I'm looking to GIVE AWAY this truck...for free. The ENTIRE truck. Thanks for looking though.

Dang a couple weeks,thats why i passed.. Thought u wanted it gone asap... Otherwise all i had to wait for was this friday for the cash to go get it lol

Heh, about a year ago I tried to give away a couple tailgates and doors.

One guy said he'd take the better tailgate. After a while he asked if it was light blue. It wasn't, so he didn't want it.

If I was in sales I'd starve :)

If I had a truck I could tow with, it would have been gone already. I have to have my buddy bring it home for me, and the soonest he's available is 2 weeks from now.

Wasn't aiming my comment at you or anyone else...I've missed some local deals because I was waiting for a trailer from a friend...

just was saying how hard it is to get rid of things some time. I've had some parts listed super cheap on craigslist because I'd rather not scrap them...but might soon if I don't get any takers...

I know you weren't, I was just commenting.

I'm always looking for cheap or free stuff, but having to work out logistical issues on larger things is a pain. I have an S10 as a daily driver, and a 15' car/utility trailer that I an use for large items as long as they're light. Anything complete car or truck requires asking my buddy to be my tow vehicle.

I haven't had a truck that was good for towing/hauling for a couple of years...it sure makes things more difficult. My blazer runs great and is powerful but certainly not a "tow" truck!

...I'm trying to remedy this with my current project!!!!!
