hidden antenna?

i dont have one on the body of the truck n dont want one either. Supposed to have one in th winsheild but i didnt get the right windshield when i replaced it. Right now i have one tie-wrapped to the dash underneath with alligator clips to the body n it works ok but its tacky. Is there some where hidden i can mount it? Under the hood maybe? Or is everybody runnin the ones you stick inside the glass? I have a brand new antenna with all the mounting hardware id like to use someplace hidden. Any ideas guys?

Try a "T Tape" type stereo antenna and if it works you could hide in in the headliner front trim or possibly under the dash pad depending upon reception.

you would have to make an adapter or use an old antenna and solder the end on the wires.

Those really work well, too. I had one installed on my bagged S10 and i just mounted it behind the stereo. I never had any reception issues, either. I highly recommend that kind. That's very cheap, too.

Thats a cool idea. I, on the other hand have one in the windsheild. It was 20 dollers more when i replaced the windsheild. But I went for as I didn't want one on the fender.

My 90 burb came from the factory with a fender mount and a chipped windshield when I bought it 4 yrs ago. Being the cheap bastard I am (I.E. BROKE) I snagged the windshield outta my old 81 crew cab that I junked and put into my burb. It has the windshield mounted antenna in it so with the help of a $10.00 "Y" adaptor I now have 2 antenna's hooked up to my stereo.
