Zs'd frame

1 Attachment(s)
I am just about finished bagging the back of my 66 step side. I used a rear end from a 77c10 to go 5 lug. I am bagging the front and converting to disc at the same time. I was wondering how many inches I need to Z the frame to make it lay body, and should i remove the engine. Attachment 642676

It depends on tire size, Removing the engine might make it easier but ive seen it done with it in place.

Its not backwards, I think they sent on odd peice with the notch kit. it was a little longer. Its been fixed since the pic was taken. i had to cut about an inch off the front and add about 1 1/2 inch to the rear to secure it to the frame. I am going to run 20's in the front maybe 22's in rear. I have 2 1/2 inch drop spindle for the front. I think I should only need about 3 inch z to get it there????

I'm not a big fan of Z's, but everything I have read indicates a 3" is the best way to go. Anything more and the steering/motor/etc issues are compounded significantly.

Thats what I have been reading, the 3 inch seems to come with alot less problems.
