Questions on 81-86 true widetrack duallies, with regular pickup bed?
I have the shorter axle that chevy made, it measures about 44" from brake backing plate to plate. The question is: What is the backing plate to plate length on the wider track axle? Also what is the distance from the center of one leaf spring pad to the other? The target group for this would be from 81-87 trucks that were produced as true duallies with bed and flared rear fenders. All info would greatly be appreciated.

Im not sure of measurments but just wanted to point out that a friend of mine swapped to wide duals and he cut his inner tires up when loaded. Make sure to look at that too.

The reason he cut up his tires is that you have to trim the wheel arch out just like Chevy did on the wide duallys...Also Chevy made these wide duallys from as far back as 75 I believe...I know there is a width difference, but since I don't have my "new" truck here yet, I can't tell you the measurement...
