Very cool! I would be inspired to do the same if it were my grampa. Hope you find one.

My parents had a 56 Montclair when I was a kid.292 3 ott. They drove it until the floorboards rusted out so bad my sister fell thru one day whiole getting in.My Dad riveted some steel over the holes and they drove it another 5-6 years.I always wanted to Kustomize one since they are less likely to be seen as a Merc.

when cars were beautiful.......

triple flippers, wide whites, and two tone paint. only thing it need is a set of lakes.

that my friend, is when cool was cool.

btw, the mid 50's Mercs could move. matter of fact, the '55 Montclair was one of the faster on the road at that time.

that's the way it usually went. especially around the of the oil crisis in '73. folks unloaded the hot muscle cars for a Pinto.

Yep. Dad had a 71 Thunderbird with a 429 Thunderjet. Got rid of it for a Pinto. Not a true muscle car but a big block gas guzzler.

He hated that Pinto. Thing did 0-60 in 8.9 hours.

Wasn't that "Boss 429 Pinto" a muscle car?
