C-Notch Questions and Opinions

Im thinking about possibly going with the CPP Trailing Arm Conversion kit for my truck, Well I already have a c-notch installed. The CPP kit comes with a notch that has the spring mounts on it so it has to be used with the kit. The c-notch bolt holes are different then the bolt holes on mine, but I was wondering if I would have a problem if I was to take mine off and put the other one on and just drill the holes for it. Or would it make the rear of my truck weak seeing how it would almost be like swiss cheese on that section of the frame?

Looking for opinions and/or ideas, Maybe I could weld a plate on the inside of the frame and drill through that, stiffening up that area?

Unless you're planning on some heavy hauling or towing, I wouldn't worry about it. All that is supported rearward of that point is the back of the bed and the bumper. All the force is being applied through the trailing arms, everything behind that point is just along for the ride or there to locate something.
