Is this the going rate for the military trucks?
Appears kind of high but is this what they go for? The auction is not done but you have to add at least 10% over the bidding price.

these 73-91 trucks starts to get more and more expensive because they gain in popularity that means people can sell them for more.

Re: Is this the going rate for the military trucks?
I have bought a truck from there and have watched a lot of the auctions. That is high, however, that truck appears to be in better condition than most that get auctioned. The one I bought was beat to hell.

You also have to remember that you need to apply for a EUC (End Use Certificate), sometimes up to a 90 day wait, $60.00 fee for a SF-97, which is what you need to get a title, and if you didn't preview it beware of all kind of surprises when you actually pick it up, such as bent driveshafts, missing parts, etc. Been down that road many times, can be a real crap shoot. (But I still bid on 'em anyway lol)

Re: Is this the going rate for the military trucks?
They have been averaging 1200-2000 on up depending upon shape and yes that one is pretty primo plus the 28K miles and a pretty ready engine bay. This is probably a runner with minimal work.
These trucks may sit up to a year or more waiting to see if the reutilzation agencys want them first like VA, USDA, Forestry, Parks, then the civil agencies also get a crack like Rural FDs, Police agencies etc. |
Re: Is this the going rate for the military trucks?
That is a clean truck.... for GL that may be a high price but check out other military vehicle sellers and even the current GL price for that truck looks good.

Last year went to one live (not internet) GSA auction. a really nice clean, rust free drive it home M1028 went for $4400.00 (Pennsylvania). BTW, just sold a rust free state inspected M1028a1 for $3800.00. winter's coming, at least here in pa.
