66 wood bed floor

can anyone give me a idea on making yoour own wood floors what are the sizes of the wood, how did you cut the groove in the wood for the metal runners any info would be great Thanks Jeff

Just got through cutting mine out of ash and used the info here, worked out great. Have them stained and put first coat of spar urathane on them earlier this evening
