Four Core Rad ?

I have a 1968 c-10 and I pulled a one core radiator out of it. Through work I called Radiator Exchange and they no longer. Have the Two or three row radiator for my truck. They do have the four core available.

My question is will a four core fit in my truck with the original core support clamps? Also It seems to me that the right bottom outlet on the four core doesn't curve up like my original.

Help me out .

Umm, I gave the side to side measurements to a radiator shop, and they ordered me a 4 core that fit the original radiator space. I had to move the radiator supports to where the tanks would sit on them and I had to modify the bottom of the channel/lip where the whole thing sits. But I have a 4 core radiator in there, and the install looks clean, and radiator has original mounts too. I'll try and post some pics of what I did.

This is the best pic that shows what all I had to cut and modify to fit the 4 core in. Once your done cutting and grinding, sand it all smooth and spray it with whatever you paint your engine bay with and it will be fine. You can get the radiator supports and hardware from the LMC Catalog for a couple of bucks, I bought the steel bottom mounts, with the rubber inserts, as well as the top rubber mounts, and the whole new radiator cover and the install looks great and very clean.

I went from a 3 to a 4 row on my 72. All I had to do was cut into the holder brackets at the corner and bend them out a little. The rubber part still fit, and the rad fit like a glove. You have to know it's there to see it.

I bought my 4-row "rad" off e-bay. When I did the conversion I bought the upper and lower brackets and rubber mounts, took out the old mounts at the bottom. The assembly manual shows how to bend the bottom lip to accomodate the 4-row brackets. I just took some pliers and made the proper bends, then I bought some small nuts/bolts to replace the rivets for the bottom brackets. I could post pics if you need them. I didn't need to cut my radiator support.
