6.2L Diesel White Smoke?

Finally got a 1984 M1008 pickup running this past weekend that I purchased a few weeks ago. Had been sitting for at least 2 years. Half of the glowplugs are dead and it needs a quick shot of either to start when cold. Injection pump under intake leaks...

Anyway, the drivers side exhaust has a light haze at idle once the truck has warmed up. Light puff when first started then it goes away for a few min until warm. Punch it when warm and a large cloud will shoot out until you let off.

It was real bad when I first got it running but has gotten better the more I drive it. No smoke out pass side. Seems to drive fine, and motor power seems comparable to my past 6.2L trucks.

Doesn't look to be using coolant and the oil is clean.

Early Duramax engines had similar symptoms when the injectors were going bad. Another symptom was diesel fuel in the crank case. Older diesels don't like newer ulsd fuel - not enough lubricity. I typically add 1/3 of a bottle of Amsoil diesel concentrate with each tank of fuel on mine.

I'm guessing it's one of the injectors.
