Another mod- cheap-easy-cool

I added power locks to my door last night. Super easy, cost less than $4.00 for some cable ties. I harvested the power lock soleniods from a old chevy van that I have.

Just drilled a couple holes to mount the soleniods, clamped the little round bar piece to the lock rod on the truck. I could have put a little spot weld there but Im out of gas mix. A couple shots of WD40 on the old hardware in the doors, hooked them up to a battery- and works perfect! I also harvested those springy-thingys that will allow the wires to pass through the door jambs and not get crunched. Gonna hook the lock soleniods to my alarm and to my neutral safty switch park and drive outputs. That way when I put the truck in drive the doors lock, put it park- the doors will unlock....And I can unlock my doors with the remotes..

I forgot- I also added a lock soleniod to my tool box that has my fuel cell, and airtank, air compressor (not mounted yet), and all the air suspension stuff. I just have everything pretty much mocked up in the tool box. Im going to take everything back out a put black outdoor carpet inside the toolbox then go back and wire and plumb everything. I will be able to open the toolbox with the remote and with a switch inside the cab.

Everything is a little dirty now, so just dont pay attention to the dirt!

I think its a 96 or 97, its one of those custom vans with 4 captain chairs and a couch/bed in the back.

Just my fuel cell, and all air suspension stuff..... I didnt want to mount all that stuff under the truck. I gonna have the bed sprayed with silver tinted truck bed coating and then put the tool box back in....

This is the exact set up I wanted to put together for my fuel tank. I wanted a toolbox gas tank combo but the are wanting a lot of money and it will not have a sending unit. What are the dimension of your tool box and fuel cell? Any info is appreciated.
