adapter measurements?

Could someone do me a huge favor and measure both the tall and the short adapter measurements for a TH400 to NP208C, pretty please??

I have a short adapter bolted to the back of my transmission now, but it appears to have a long tailshaft as my tcase will not slide on any farther, leaving me about 1.5" from the adapter. :(

I'm wondering if the taller adapter version is thicker/longer...but I couldn't find any pics online with measurements and I read that the TH400's used to use a few different lengths....

The TH400 used to have a NP205 attached to it when it was in the original late 70's/early 80's 1/2 ton. (I bought it from a guy on kijiji who said it was from a 1/2 ton with heavier running gear...heavy half?)
I tried buying the tcase from him shortly after, but he stopped responding to my emails.

Just trying to find a cheap and easy sollution to getting over this hurdle!
