72 3/4ton 2wd
I would like to level out the front of the truck with the rear. Any help would be great.

Re: 72 3/4ton 2wd
I'll assume that the rear sits higher than the front. With that in mind I think the easiest way is with a new set of leaf springs. There are a few companies that sell them over the internet, but the best bet is to find a local big rig truck shop, they should be able to fix ya up. You can add lower blocks, but I shy away from those as they tend to and more leverage against the rearend.

Do you have coils or leafs?
Agreed, a big truck shop can probably set you up with new leafs if that is what you are running, but if you have coils i think you'd have to get drop coils made for 1/2 tons. I'm not 100% on that... I have coils but they are still stock because I like the slight rake, but I am sure someone on here will chime in with more info. good luck! |
Re: 72 3/4ton 2wd
I have a 69 3/4 and have been told many times that 1 ton coils in front will give me a 2 inch lift, no "kits" exist for lifting the front end, just the 1 ton springs as far as I know.

Re: 72 3/4ton 2wd
are you running a SBC or BBC?
if you are running a SBC then adding 1 ton springs will level it out, but will have a harder ride. A BBC due to its weight will be about 1 inch lower in the front. If you have overload springs in the rear. you can remove it and drop the rear about 1/2 inch. |
