Solenoid PIcs...

Sorry but there just really isnt much to show...I need to get a more lighted up pic of the inner door, but the chain you see in the second pic is what pulls the latch open when you trigger the solenoid. The popper in the pic is just spring loaded so it just assists the door in opening. :)

I tried those when I was in the process of painting my truck, but could not get them to work all the time cause the cable kept slipping so I did not shave my hanldes. I hope that you have better luck.

Dave, your setup is almost identicle to mine, except I have the solenoids in the door, directly behind where yours are mounted. I will post pics, but my digital cam doesn't work in the extreme cold. I'll have to wait for a few more weeks.

BTW, what are all tose wires in the bottom of your door for?

Ric83 03-03-2003 12:53 PM

I have a question? Is there any way to still lock your doors?

J-Spec C10 03-03-2003 02:05 PM

the locks are a separate unit so if you like, you can leave them in place. I did.

LOHRTBT 03-03-2003 02:10 PM

The wires are the original ones from the factory power windows/locks.

No, I dont lock my door. I cant. Once its shut there is no way in. If someone wants it they can find my button or break the window..in either case....I hope they takethe whole truck and its never seen again. That way I collect on my insurance lol\

No probs *knock knock knock* yet with the solenoids at all.

It was too rainy this weekend for me to get pics of mine, but if you look at the top pic on the top left side (rear window channel/frame) my solenoid was mounted there and used the same lever the outside lock used. I kept the inside handle and the outside key locks.

Dave, I'm assuming there's a manual way to open these if the battery is dead? Just curious.

LOHRTBT 03-03-2003 09:54 PM

well....NO. hahahaaha
There is a way around it....but it a secret!! hehehe
