Under your dash?

I didnt see a section for interior conversation, so it this is in the wrong spot, please move it. I just installed the front portion of my new carpet in my Burb, but the carpet only goes so far up under the dash, above that it looks horrible and junky, whats "supposed" to be there? or what have you done to make yours look neat?

thanks
junk

Is that my hatch I see all painted up there in the corner of that picture? hehe Hard to believe its been 2 years since I hand delivered it to ya darlin. Cant help too much with the carpet question, cuz mine are all rubber mats, but I am sure our 75000 friends will help. love ya, Mike

:agree:.. You must be missing your firewall insulation. Maybe someone tore part of it off. Do you see any of it around the steering column?

Ok, gonna check LMC for that, It looks like there used to be something black there, but there is only pieces of it, hate it lookin so sloppy.

Mike? wow, has been along time, yep, thats them :) Hard to believe eh? In the process of trying to get the inside together so I can drive her, havent really gotten far with her since I got her back from the paint booth, Ive been having my son do some seal changing, like most of them.,lol

Hey can I have my tea glass back ;)

Hehe. Believe it or not I still have that glass in the glove box of my ramp truck. I was gonna give it to you at the '08 National meet at Rons, but I broke on the way and never got past Cambridge Ohio. I will trade you the glass for a set of those "things" that go above the carpet if you find them. hehe. I will send you a PM, I need to ask you about some other parts.

Jodie, once you get the insulation in, try painting everything under there flat black. It will usually blend so well as to be just plain ignored.I've seen tons of ceilings in commercial and institutional buildings done that way.

X2 aside from the insulation, I painted the rest flat black.
