How is this removed?

Im wondering how to remove the lower panel that holds the barn door latches on a 69 panel. Mine is completely rotted out, but i found one at a scrap yard, the only problem is its a upullit only yard and no torches are allowed. The panel in question goes where the yellow box is in the photo below. Any help would be appreciated

They are "basically" an unbolt item, but it's quite a bit of work. Cutting the plywood floor on the donor vehicle helps. The hard part is getting the panel out once everything is unbolted. You really need to either lift the body off the frame or cut the rear frame rails so you can drop this piece straight down. I'll post a few pics of one removed so you have an idea of what you are dealing with. Sharpie

Mine is from a clam shell, but yours should be the same, less hinges. Sharpie

Thanks sharpie. I cant do either (lift or Cut the frame) due to the restrictions on jacks and torches. But under the taillights its pretty rusted, so i might knock that rust out and try to work it out. Im just glad its not a welded part. lol. Again, thanks :)

what about a battery powered saws-all? i have a yard near me that has the same restrictions but they allow batt powered tools. if you can at yours you can just cut the rear panels on the donor out and just lift it out

I dont have a battery one though, or thatd be my plan. Ima see if anyone i know has one or knows someone with one. I hope they do, because the panel on mine is gone, literally gone. if a fly landed on it it would crumble. lol
