2 mile starring Geeinem
 

I finally got my truck home last night! It's been sitting in my Dad's warehouse since October when it crapped out on me again. I got my garage straightened out to make room and then went the 2 miles to get my truck. I had to air up a tire, put some gas in the cell, put some tranny fluid in (thanks Brandon!), and finally push it out in the alley to jump start it (damn generic batteries can't sit for 4 months without needing a jump???). I got it fired up and it smoked like a bish and dripped some water from the pipes. Finally got it warmed up and took off down the industrial complex. It was pretty cool cruising hoodless. I only had to cross one major street before getting into my neighborhood. I was a bit disappointed when I got on my block though, I expected my neighbors to have lined the streets waving flags and throwing confetti as I backed into my driveway. Bastards.
Anyways, I'm pulling the bed off as soon as I can trick one of my friends into helping, then I'll be ordering the fuel components. Hoepfully that will get me running good enough to drive on a regular basis and last until I can replace the engine.

Glad to hear you got it home in one piece Greg. Now time for you to get it tore down and fixed up. With the bed off you should have a easier time on the tranny leak as well.

cruisin hoodless is cool! did that for a few days after i built my 355. got a lot of funny looks from the ricers, but hey, if they can put that goofy @$$ wing on the back, we can cruise without hoods!

Driving hoodless is fun, but driving without the bed on is even more fun. Lots of funny looks there, especially if you're towing a trailer (been there, done that).

When I got my truck fired up I called Dave and put my cell phone to the tailpipe and said "HEAR MY EXHAUST B!T(% !?!". Make sense?

I'm glad you didn't call me with the exahust sound. I know it sounds great but I was feeling like crap and had a bad headache that night. I'm still trying to get over this crap.
