86 K20 Hood latch
 

Hood latch release cable broke on my 86 K20. Any ideas for getting the hood up? Never happened to me before... (Hooking the latch blind with a wire requires me to know where the original cable hooks first)

If it broke under the hood you have to take off your drivers side inner fender, once that is off pull on the cable with a pair of vice grips. The cable itself runs along the top of the rad cradle and through a hole close to the drivers side fender on top. If it broke ontop of the rad cradle you will have to burn the bolts for the latch out with a torch. ****ty situation but Good luck !
