Spare Tire Size
I have a 72 K-10 with 32x11.5x15" tires. If I use a 31x10.5x15 tire as a spare will it cause and damage to drive train??

Re: Spare Tire Size
As a spare, no problem.... but it could be an issue if you bolt it on & run it... :D
Sorry, I couldn't resist. There's about a 3.2% difference in diameter (or circumference), and I wouldn't use it on the rear axle, especially if you have any kind of limited-slip back there. It might be okay on the front (but only in 2WD, and assuming you don't have a full-time system) for a short time, but that's about it. |

Re: Spare Tire Size
Ya know, the spare only has to match for diameter, not width. Why not use a skinny 32" tire? Maybe something on a larger diameter (but narrow) wheel. It will weigh less and give you more ground clearance.
