K30 Leaf Springs
I am looking to level out my 78 K30. I like a nice level look with all my trucks, and right now the rear end sits about 2.5" higher than the front. The front springs are arched downward slightly. Should the front springs be like that? Or should they be closer to flat?
I don't really need the truck any higher, right now my options are: 1. 2" lift springs in the front (only if the front springs are actually worn out and need replacing, I'd rather not pay $300 for springs) 2. Stock replacement springs, or add a leaf or two from the rear into the front. 3. If the front springs are ok, remove a few leafs from the rear to bring it down. I really prefer option 3, as I would not mind a little better ride in the rear, and I no longer haul really heavy in this truck. Thoughts? This is the best picture I have of the front, I'll try to get a better one. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f4...-53-22_820.jpg Only side picture I have showing the rake, it looks level here, but the front is sitting uphill. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f4...nation/089.jpg Picture showing my new tires (285/75r16 (33") with 1.5" spacers in rear) http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f4..._5473296_n.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f4..._1500385_n.jpg |
