The big difference is the van's lower shaft is about 2'' longer and the neutral safety switch is higher up on the column. This one has the correct wiring harness already installed as well as new upper and lower boots for trucks,blazers and suburbans

I have an 83 steering column, k-member and steering box in my 65 GMC. I would like a tilt steering column with the key on the dash. Any idea if this will fit? What would I need to do to figure it out?

I don't think I am asking too much for a column that has been completely taken apart powder coated with new upper and lower boots added! Last chance before it goes on ebay

That is a great deal, can't believe you have not sold it. I wish it was converted into a 4 speed tilt.

No, that is a decent deal for a reconditioned van tilt. More than likely it is the time of year for shopping for the holidays and convincing other members of the household how nice it is to have. Good Luck with the sale.

think its a good price dude. but i think sammy is rite. if i werent buyin other necessary stuff i would probably be on it. you say van tilt lower shaft is 2 inches longer? does it give you less room in cab? ive never swapped one before but i would like to have more room. is that possible? help the dumb guy please!:uhmk: thanx rich
