Dropped Spindles and Brake Lines??
Anyone else have problems with the stock front rubber lines hitting the tops of the spindles? I can't get them on the calipers. The curved metal tube is hitting the spindles in the ball joint area. 85 C-10 2.5" dropped spindles and 2" dropped springs. Thoughts , ideas?

Re: Dropped Spindles and Brake Lines??
install the brake lines on the calipers first. then install calipers and bend the metal fitting on the brake line so that it clears

Re: Dropped Spindles and Brake Lines??
You have to bend the metal line.
Just tweak it a little. It's very common. |
Re: Dropped Spindles and Brake Lines??
but dont over bend it. the older lines can be brittle

My lines are new, the old ones were rotten. How much do you bend them?

Re: Dropped Spindles and Brake Lines??
Just enought to clear.
I usually do it on the caliper, to verify it clears everything. |

Huh? You bend it down. do you twist it right or left to get it away from the ball joint stud?
