Looks good, what are the details on the lift and tire size?

JIMs70GMC 03-05-2003 02:39 PM

Thanks everybody! In the front I have 2" HD Tuff country springs and ORD shackles. Shocks are skyjacker hydros. Also, replaced the pitman arm w/ a 2" drop. In the rear I added a TC leaf and 2" rugged trail block and u-bolts I had w/ an ORD u-bolt flip plate. Shocks are TC. My truck had an original 1" block that I discarded. I netted about 3" in the front and 3" in the back. Tires and wheels: 33" TSLs and 15"x10" U.S. Wheel wagon wheels. I bought these from Tyres International even with shipping they were cheaper than my local shops.

Nice

Looking good. I need to do that to my 71 GMC. Did you mail order the springs & pittman or get them locally.? What tranny & gears are you running. Mine has m465 with rockwell xfer case & 4:56's. I have a 205 xfer case for it & need higher gears for the highway. Do you know of anybody in your area with a stock black steering wheel for sale.?.........Zoomy

JIMs70GMC 03-07-2003 04:18 AM

Mail ordered the springs/pitman arm from ORD. Tires/wheels came from Tyres Inernational. I have the SM465/NP205 combo w/ 4.10 gears. Real nice on the highway w/ the 33s. No steering wheels that I know of. My wife actually gave me a hard time about my small grant steering wheel told me it does not look right in the truck.

Get yourself a comfort grip wheel for a 69 Camaro. Use 67-68 woodgrain wheel install. You can get wheel with install as a set from Muscle Factory for $199. Here is a pic. Just looks right in these trucks:

Looks great!!! Will look even better covered in MUD!! :D

JIMs70GMC 03-09-2003 06:56 PM

jabarlow, got it from www.offroaddesign.com they cost $25 for the pair I already had the u-bolts. Even though it's a 3/4 ton I had to use the 1/2 ton plates my dana 60 has 3" tubes while the 14 bolt has 3 and 3/8" tubes.
racedvl, soon very soon. I need to replace the inner axle seal on my front driver side, if the gear oil is getting out then water will get in. I'm getting my ducks in a row to replace the axle seals and add a locker. (waiting for my refund, per the status line should be before 4-1-03).
