i just bought the aforementioned tuner, has anyone used this tuner before? how did they like it? i havent had a lot of time to mess around with the truck since ive been at infantry school, but i figured i'd get myself a nice christmas present to play around with some more when i get christmas liberty. further plans for the truck are dictated by the amount of money and time i have for the truck

i got one for my 06 1500 reg cab long bed with the 4.8 in it, i love it. i jacked mine up 5 inches and running 35s. was getting about 14mpg before it and now about 16 driving how i normally do, (not light on the gas). my 0 to 60 before was around 11 sec, now its between 8 to 9. but i feel like i had one of those great engines right from the factory, it was already spunky, now i just love it, makes the front of my truck hop. if i drive it real nice on the thruway, i can get about 18 to 19. i also have a cold air intake and no muffler, so im back up to what my truck was when i bought it mpg wise, which is nice considering all of the stuff ive done to it.

a day of fun in the mud

its really hard to believe how short my truck was, i love the hd look, so i went for that, i didnt want 11 to 12mpg.

anyway, i would def say the bully dog was worth the money

that sure is a nice truck you got there. wish i had the time to go offroading like that haha. what did you change on your truck when you installed the bullydog? and did you use the power wire that plugs into the fuses?

thank you, no more off roading, got to make her last now. thats what my wheelers for. i set everything to perfomance and i run mid grade fuel. i dont think i had to do the power wire thing, it powers itself from the port.

I have one on my 00 gmc 1500. It made a huge difference in power. Considering I'm running 11 inchs of lift on 35's with 4.56 gears. It also has 230,000 miles. It made me smile again when driving the truck

well, i had my fun with the tuner but i broke the switch to turn it on on the piece that plugs into the obd2 port. :banghead:
i glued it back on and it would turn on but when bumped, it would shut off. i went back to school so i took the tuner off. i did love it though, but i think im just gonna stick to hard parts like cams, headers, etc from now on. would the warranty cover a breakage like that though?

i would think that it would... but your guess is as good as mine. im just waiting till i can get a BB tune. then i am going to sell mine. Im sure it wouldnt hurt to call about the warranty though.
