Getting rid of hydrolic clutch on '60 Chev?
Just wondering if anyone knows for sure what mechanical linkage will swap onto my '60 to replace the hydrolic setup. I plan to swap to the mid '70's x-member & suspension/brakes/ect and will need to run a power booster, so the brake/clutch master cyl unit won't work. I did run a search but couldn't seem to find what I need.
Or, if there is an easy solution to replace the clutch master(easier than doing mechanical linkage), then I'm all for hearing about that too. Thanks a ton -John :metal: |

The easier solution is to buy a Captainfab bracket and keep the hydraulic clutch. Here's a link to his bracket, and a link to an article showing how I did the setup in my 1960. At the time I did my truck the Captainfab bracket hadn't been developed yet or I would have used it instead of my own design:

I agree completely. Keep the hydraulic linkage and you won't be sorry you did.

That Captainfab setup looks easy, and being available as a complete kit makes things even easier. Thanks for the links man!
