One thing after another...

So, first I had to go through a bunch of trouble with my insurance company about the VIN number on my truck, and now I'm having trouble finding the various weight information needed to complete my registration. I have a 1980 K20, that originally had a 400ci, 4wd, and its a single cab long bed. The weight info plate on the doors is long gone, and for my registration I need the curb weight and the gvwr. I am pretty sure that in 1980 the gvwr was 8600 lbs, but I'm not 100% sure. For curb weight, I think it's probably about 6000, but I'm still a little unsure. I've searched this site and online a lot, and I'm still not satisfied with the info I've got. I'd really appreciate any help you guys can give. Thanks alot, gentleman.

Go here:

Download the information kit for your truck and it should say it somewhere in the packet.

Thanks for all of the input guys. This information was great and I'm pretty sure that I got it all straightened out, just needs to pass inspection now HA!.

gmclowsierra: WILLIAMSPORT! haha, kimberton is about 3 hrs south east, about an hour past reading. I'm pretty familiar with williamsport however, we have a cabin upstate in lycoming county, in the town of slate run to be exact. Why do you ask.

Here's a pic of my truck, what do you all think?

Got any more pics of your truck? I love 73-80 trucks without trim (trim looks nice to but I think without trims are really unique)

Sure do. I really like the look of it too. The only thing i kind of don't like is the grille, i prefer the later 80's style, but maybe I'll just have to swap one of those in someday.
