Ok to run without radiator overflow temporarily?

Other than maybe leaking a bit of coolant is there a problem with running without an overfow reservoir for a few days?

Nope, it's not environmentally friendly, but it can be done. If nothing else put an old radiator fluid jug, or milk jug there to catch anything.

It's safe. No damage will be done.

nope.
just be sure to check your water level every morning. each time your engine warms up, the coolant expands, and a little is pushed out, but then when it cools off, its sucking air back into the system.. it wont harm it, but it just loses coolant.

yup thats what i was just thinking even the first time after filling, it will over flow, burping, and the expanding will continue

how low do your temps go? anything around ....here 0C there 32F,don't run or leave it with too much water, may crack the block

thanks guys, I really just need to move it a few miles down the road today and then back again in a couple days. I'm pulling my inner fenders and I'm waiting for my new canister in the mail. I didnt figure it would damage anything but thought I would get a few opinions first

Take a old "coffee can," and use that. About time they did something useful...

First I saw Yoohoo, then I saw Crown Royal. I'm thirsty now...
