I want to order carpet for my 79 c30 with manual trans. How do I tell if its a high hump floor or not?

No but I will take some when I get off work tonight. I am PRETTY sure its s high hump but I dont want to spend 150 bux on carpet that I cant use.

Usually the higher hump will be squared off as well. Most non 3 on the tree manual transmission equipped trucks have the higher hump, IIRC.

If the shifter is on the floor in the factory spot it is High Hump.

Yep - very helpful.

Just to summarize: most 2wd autos are low hump, most manuals and 4x4 are high hump.

Easy way to tell, the high humps are bolt on, the lows aren't.

edit: Looks like that changed around 86?

The green one is a 76 Blazer 4 speed/205, the black one is an 82 turbo 350/208

My '84 K30 has a one piece floor, no bolts (wish it did :(). Factory 454/TH400/205, cab-and-chassis if it matters...

The military CUCV K30s are high humps and are also one piece, no bolts.

Gotta love the bolt on humps it makes it pretty easy to convert an auto to a stick

Not all high humps are bolt on.
Generally speaking...
all blazers were high humps. Autos were solid, manual were bolted.
all 1 tons were high humps. auto=solid manual=bolted
pickups sm465 (floor shift) equipped were high bolted 4x4 and 4x2.
Auto 4x4 were high and could be bolted or not.
Column shift were low tunnel
