Thanks for all the postive feedback guys! I really appreciate it.

MY sb400 is...
bored .30 over.
Stock pistons, rods, and crank.
Edelbrock performer rpm air gap nascar edition intake.
Edelbrock Endurashine Thunder AVS 650 Carb.
Edelbrock Fuel Pump
E-Force cast heads (2.020 Intake 1.600 Ex. Valve 76CC Chamber)
Camshaft: .488/.509 lift, 234/244 duration , 84 degrees overlap
March performance pullies and brackets
Toughstuff black powdercoated Alternator, water pump, and powersteering pump.
Moroso Stock replacement oil pan
High Torque starter (wrapped with asbestos wrap)
Trick flow Throttle bracket
DUI distributor (tuned for specific cam. Also has built in Rev limmiter)
Taylor Wires
Hooker Darkside Headers
Stainless fuel lines all the way from fuel cell to pump to carb.

I think that is pretty much most of it.

I'll be running a 350th Trani with red clutches. .308 rearend for now. Will upgrade later.

I learned a lot from my machine shop guys. They have been the business for quite some time.

One thing I didn't know is the E-Force head is the same as a DART head. The same manufacturer makes them. Only the E-Force heads dont have DART written on them and they are half the price.

Also only a handful of big name brand cams actually grind their own cams. The rest just get them from a manufactuer and put their name on it.

Also the sb400 really doesn't need to spin more than 5500 rpms because after that your power gains are VERY minimal and not worth doing unless you have plenty of money to waste.

This is my second time to rebuild this sb400 and it has NEVER ran hot! (All you have to do is drill your heads to match a sb400 block!)

If you disagree with any of this that's cool. I had to find the answers for myself and I'm glad I did.

Sorry it was book. Thanks again for Checking out my post! Good Luck to everyone wanting to build a sb400! Torque MONSTERS (for a small block anyway.)
