front suspension and steering pics

Im looking for some detailed pics of the front suspension and steering assembly for a 68 c10. I purchased new ball joints, tie rod ends, disc brakes, etc... pretty much the whole nine yards from classic performance and all I got was a bunch of boxes full of stuff and no pics or instructions. Like an idiot I didnt take pre tear down pics and i had EVERYTHING dis assembled and powdercoated. now im trying to go back with pictures in my head from the tear down which was about a year ago.

I really do want to do this all myself so that it is MY truck and also dont want to have to pay an idiot tax and have someone else put this thing back together for me

well....it would also have been a good idea to keep the tie rod links...left and right as complete assemblies. Then you can compare your new ones (after assembly) and match the length. That way the aligment would be fairly close until you get to the alignment shop.

Heres a few of my '68 with a '72 front steering and suspension.

That's funny rith there, I have used the phrase "Dumb A** Tax" for many years. It has gotten a few confused looks from people who didn't "get it".

thanks for the pics. i had one of those simple but important questions about installing the ball joint for the upper control arm and the guys at classic told me it went in exactly as the original came out. The only problem is that the original was riveted in and the replacement has four bolts and also has a small silver plate that slides over the rubber boot and squeezes the boot between the plate and the control arm to keep it from falling down i assume. It may have worked out if I just guessed at it but I thought I would just ask the people at the service desk. All I got in return was silence when I enformed him that the originals were riveted in place and that the replacements were not EXACTLY like the originals.
