Swapped out grill today
 

Today I did away with the 65 Chevy grill and went with a 60 GMC grill.. waiting on headlight buckets to arrive, but here is a preview :)

I think it's a big improvement. My preferred Chevy grille is the 63. I always thought the GMC grille looked better on this series trucks than anything else Chevy offered.

Nice swap, I like the look of the GMC grille with the two headlights more than the single headlight one on my truck.

Ironically your truck is one of the ones I looked at and almost bought. Did you keep the keg gas tank?

I dig the black ang green. Some green and black pinstriping on that grille and bumper would be perfect.

I'm totally liking that grill with no head lights. Kind of like a 60's version of the NASCAR truck series.

lol, yes right now it has the keg gas tank in it still.

He came down a lot from his asking price.
so far I have replaced the hood, the grill, the seats, the heater core, the radiator, and picked up a new engine and transmission (going V8)

Got almost 2500 total into it now

Got both my girls out today for a quick ride :metal:

Truck looks good! Now ya just need headlights and lime green pinstriping on the hood like mentioned earlier!

Now I could be wrong, but are the "fins" that stick out above and below the headlights different lengths to match the lines on the fenders or is it just the pic?

I just bought a 1963 chevy grille for my 64 GMC becuase I like the plain look of it...
