Re: pics of 4 inch lift
I have exactly that but 33's.
well we had it... http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...3/IMG_0926.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...3/IMG_0928.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...3/IMG_0921.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...3/IMG_0920.jpg http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...3/IMG_0925.jpg 35's should fit fine we had plenty of room and had cleared 33's stock. IMo though if you don't have a certain lift law height, you might be like alot of others and want bigger, the 6 inch kit aint much more, and I would go for it if I had the cash. We ended up needing the sway bar drop brackets and a new steering stabilizer, but didn't have to use any of the brake line brackets or anything because they had enough room but we didn't offroad any either. word of advice though if you can get the tuff country ez ride or the soffride from skyjacker or superlift whoever makes it, that rough country rode rough as crap, very stiff, and we had new shocks all around the ones that came in their kit. |

Re: pics of 4 inch lift
I agree with benoit454...the rough country front springs are stiff like most lift springs, but they're shocks are horrible. I would recommend buying ez ride springs, really good shocks (rancho, bilstein), raised steering arm, sway bar drop brackets. And another thing to think about is longer parking brake cables if your going to use it.

Re: pics of 4 inch lift
our kit came with the raised steering arm, most do from what I've seen, but the sway bar drops are extra, and claim to be only needed for 6 inch kits and bigger, but ours would not line up withnout them and barely lined up with them. As for the brake cables ours was fine and we used it, but I had heard of other ppl having issues with them being too short.
Our kit was like $300 shipped from jcwhitney, came with front springs, and new poly bushings for them, I think it had rear ones too but we never put them in, raised steering arm, front both side, and rear brake line drop brackets, rear blocks and u bolts, nuts, washers, front u bolts, nuts, washers, 4 shocks, boots, not sure if they had new hardware or not. Also had t-case drop brackets for the older trucks. |
Re: pics of 4 inch lift

Re: pics of 4 inch lift
yeah i recently put a 4 inch rough country lift on my 76. It rides pretty rought still, but im going to do a shackle flip in the rear and pull 1 leaf out of each of the front springs to help level it out and ride smoother. Then if I have room I'll run 35's

Re: pics of 4 inch lift
Heres a pic of my 87 with 4" skyjacker lift. Its only got 33s on it for now, they were on it when I bought her about a month ago. I'm not sure if 35s will fit but when I replace the tires I'm definitely going to look into it. Hope it helps

Re: pics of 4 inch lift
that black 87 looks great i was going to put thoes rims on my daily driver
|
Re: pics of 4 inch lift
i would suggest if you going to go offroad at all to go with a 6 inch instead of the 4. cause the 35s will bind at full lock

Re: pics of 4 inch lift
Putting a 4" lift on the 73 and 35 12.5 R16 Interco Boggers.
