positive to negative
 

Im putting my new pioneer deck and speakers in my 72' and need to know if the speakers are going to go bad with the negative and positive on backwards. I wouldnt put them on backwards on purpose but what would happen if they were accidentaly on backwards? thanks

i think i done that,i don't think anything would happen,just won't sound right,what year nova is that?

Done that too, with no probs. The real issue is that both are the same. If one is wired opposite, then the speakers will be out of phase, one moving out while the other moves in.

Nothing terrible happens, as mentioned, the speakers will just be out of phase, which will in turn, hurt SQ.
