Re: Cab Removal
Im posting more to follow the thread, as i want to change my body bushing next summer, but i do beleive that if the bolt is striped youll have to cut a whole in the cab to get to the bolt. Anyway thats what a freind of mine told me.

Re: Cab Removal
If the captured nut is slipping/spinning, you have to cut a hole to remove it.

Re: Cab Removal
Cut a hole and tack weld the bolt, had to do it on mine.

Re: Cab Removal
took a drill today and put a hole in the cab to make sure i was in the right spot now i just need to make it bigger (jigsaw w/ metal blade???)

Re: Cab Removal
That will work but the hole is pretty shallow. A body saw would work better if you have one.

Re: Cab Removal
This is an old thread, but I'm having a similar problem.
I went to take out the cab mount bolts, and snapped one. How have people fixed this? Try to drill it out from the bottom? I've never seen bolts this bad before - this is the one I took out from the front location (where I was able to turn the nut from the bottom, rather than having to turn the bolt): https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-l...0/IMG_1786.JPG NO wonder the next one broke... |
