A New gauge ? NO really cant find history

So I have been searching and reading and asking, and I'm sure the first responder will show five links but thats what i need.

Question: I am re-doing my gauge cluster and I like the simplicity of the 3 gauge cluster BUT i want the tach in the center gauge instead of the turns and what not. I like the factory looking gauges and I am wondering if anyone has done it, built it, bought it, seen it???

Thanks for any of the help. and soon I will have pics for my 49-52 gas tank install on the swb!

sorry and the gauge cluster already made up through vendors says that the tach is not meant for a hei setup. what does everybody does with hei setup then?

my factory tach works with hei. I have never verified the accuracy though.

It wouldn't be too hard to do it - you'd have to modify the tin to accept the tach mount plate but that would be it.

As for the blinkers and dummy lights - I'd use one of these (click the pic):

ok, so modification is neccesary. now that im thinking of it the p/o did a horrible job of installing a painless wiring harness in the truck. I cant find a model number on the harness and my next question is, is there something that i can see to tell if the new harness is setup for the gauge type dash or is it still the dummy light setup? i only have one connector in the back of the cluster so i am unsure.
thanks for all the help, Tyler
