Swapping to factory tach cluster help needed

4 Attachment(s)
I took my original cluster out and put in a original tach and small gas gauge into a new tach housing I got off of ebay. I am waiting on my new lens cover befor I can put the new cluster in, my original had the clock so the lens had the hole with a gromet. Anyways, I need help with repinning my cluster connector. I am using the printed circuit board that came with the tach donor and my original cluster was just the standard cluster with a clock. Can anyone help me with what wires will have to be moved and where they need to move to and what is the best way to release the wires from the connector. I have included some pics to best describe what I have done. I have also used LED's in the new cluster and painted the back of the bezel gloss white. Any help would be appreciated! BTW, I have a '86 Sierra Classic Short Stepper.

Here is a thread with the link to some diagrams: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=437373

I bought a tool from the Mac tools truck to repin harnesses with, but you can use a paper clip to release the wires in the connector. Make sure you raise the tab back up so they will stay where you want them to. Repin your harness to fit the cluster. If you got teh connector with your donor, it's pretty easy. The General didn't change the colors too much from '73-87.

this is a plug in and go type of swap. Your truck had guages and a clock before right? Since you bought the right era of tach, it just plugs in. :metal:
