Im getting ready to paint my truck and need a better tail gate. The tail gate must have Chevrolet on it.

I think you can still get new ones from GM parts direct or if you have a connection with a local GM parts guy.

I have one either in NOS condition or a repop. Not sure how to tell as it came with the truck. I need a GMC one.

If you decide you want to go with NOS nice :cool:, I have this one that came in with the purchase of a one owner 72 short step. It a real NOS piece with the original steel banded GM wrapping dated '77, so we know its not a later/modern GM piece where the stamping and lines are'nt as crisp. Not going to un-wrap it, you would get to be the first to cut the steel banding on this true GM NOS piece. $500. Mel :chevy:

This is the only one I have right now. can get more if you're interested. It has surface rust from where the PO was sanding it to get ready for paint. But no rust or dents.

Dillion, I haven't a clue as to what shipping would be on a tailgate. If my GMC one comes through all I can tell you is I'll pack it good and charge you exactly what the shipping would be.
